Due to the Coronavirus and lockdown situation all bonfires, barbeques and shed fires are now banned until further notice. This is in response to both advice from the fire service and respect for our local neighbours
Bonfires are banned during the months of June, July and August to prevent fires getting out of control and to keep good relations with all of our neighbours.
At other times bonfires are restricted to weekdays and Saturdays and allotment holders should be aware of the prevailing winds and where smoke might go. Bonfires should only be used for burning dry plant material and wood. Plastic, rubber, clothing and other man made materials should not be burnt as they produce carcogenious fumes which are dangerous to health.
